Moving Towards Inclusion (March 2003)

A report for SLIM by Suzanne Grogan Associates

This report updates the South West TEC reports completed in 1998. These reports offered a profile of the labour market position of various disadvantaged groups within the South West. They proved useful as individual documents and a need to update them has been recognised for some time.

This report seeks to examine how policy and strategy has changed since the reports were last published and provide an "overview" of the multiple disadvantage experienced by many residents in the region. In addition, and in recognition of the success of the TEC reports, chapters are included offering a profile of the issues as they relate specifically to the European Social Fund (ESF) beneficiary groups.
