Welcome to the Learning and Skills Research Network

The South West Learning and Skills Research Network is a network of people across the south west of England who are interested in using and doing research in the post 16 education sector. They work in many different organisations including, for example, colleges and private training providers, development and government agencies, universities and the voluntary sector. Some members are self-employed.

The network aims to promote and support the conduct and use of research by practitioners in the post 16 sector in order to improve the experiences of learners, and to gain an greater understanding of the sector itself. It is independent of any one organisation and provides a neutral place where individuals can explore and exchange ideas, work together on small projects, and keep up to date with what is happening in the region. The network holds local meetings in the region and organises an annual regional conference. Whether you are an experienced researcher, or just starting out, this network is for you!
