South West Employment and Skills Research Forum Archives

From 2003 to 2007 SLIM provided the secretariat to the South West Employment & Skills Research Forum. The Forum brought together the research managers of key agencies responsible for delivering employment, learning and skills programmes the South West.

Its role was:

to monitor the health of the South West labour market in the South West;
to assess the effectiveness current policies and programmes;
and to co-ordinate a programme of research required to deliver the regional Framework for Employment and Skills Action (FRESA) and the priorities of the South West Enterprise and Skills Alliance (SWESA).

SLIM continues to work closely with the current South West Regional Employment and Skills Partnership (SWRESP), providing the secretariat to SWRESP Performance Monitoring Group.

The South West Employment & Skills Research Forum's primary remit was to advise the SWRESP and its task and finish groups on employment and skills research matters.
