Sector Balance Sheet

Welcome to the Sector Balance Sheet, a key regional resource of labour market data at an industry level. The data is presented in a series of spreadsheets for each major SIC industry breakdown (agriculture, forestry and mining through to health and care and other services), SSC and SWRDA priority sector, covering at a regional level variable sections such as economy, employment, demographics, business and enterprise, skills supply, current and future demand for skills.

The data can also be downloaded by each variable section for all SIC, SSC and SWRDA priority sectors. So, if you wanted to look at employment characteristics across all industries, SSCs and SWRDA priority sectors, rather than for just for one particular industry area, then follow the variable sections link.

The data in this product contains estimates derived from ABI and APS/LFS data, and as such users should be aware that:

Numbers and percentages in the spreadsheet have been rounded in accordance with guidelines to avoid disclosure of sensitive information and spurious accuracy.
All estimates are subject to margins of error.
Disclosure of ABI data is subject to legal controls.
Potentially disclosive information has been suppressed.
The data sourced within the spreadsheets from IER/Cambridge Econometrics, Projections of Employment, 2004, is published (or suppressed) in accordance with the guidelines outlined in "Working Futures - General guidelines for using the workbooks", Version 3, IER Warwick/Cambridge Econometrics, Oct 2003.
