Mapping Supply & Demand for Skills

image of BMG reportIn Winter 2001-2002 Bostock Marketing Group (BMG) performed a mapping of skills demand and supply in SWRDA priority sectors. This work, with the support of the SWRDA and NTO National Council, involved reviewing existing research on skills provision within the region and identifying future areas for action. The initiative gave rise to a tailor-made web portal, as well as a written report. Whilst the report is publicly available and can be downloaded by clicking on the links below, the website is restricted access as it contains large amounts of confidential data. Having said this, much of the non-confidential information has been incorporated into the sector pages of the SLIM website and can be viewed by clicking on the relevant sector links on the sector homepage.

The BMG report is available here to download by chapter and in its entirety.

South West Information Gateway

The South West Information Gateway is an online database of skills supply and demand intelligence for the SWRDA's priority sectors developed by BMG during their mapping exercise in Winter 2001. It includes sections on key contacts, planned research, knowledge intelligence and action planning, of use to NTOs, Sector Skills Councils and similar agencies. Due to the sensitive nature of much of this material the website is restricted access although the majority of the non-confidential content is included on our individual sector pages.

If you have an access password you can use this link to visit the South West Information Gateway. If you wish to obtain a password and/or receive further information on this resource please email the BMG representative directly.
