Participation in Learning and Training

This section looks at the participation in learning and training of young people and adults in the region. The range of indicators within this section include: the participation of young people in learning and training, Apprenticeships, adult learning and job-related training, participation in higher education, first destinations of graduates, and the graduate labour market. There are also links to further related data and intelligence.

These indicators look at adult participation in both learning and job-related training in the region.

These indicators look at applications to and student numbers in higher education institutions in the region. The indicators also look at the subjects students are applying and studying for.

The data used to monitor these two indicators is provided by the annual Regional Profiles publication by HEFCE and the Choices and Transitions study by the Institute for Employment Studies (IES).
