The majority of this data and intelligence comes from the National Employers Skills Survey (NESS), an Learning & Skills Council (LSC) funded national survey of employers in England. The survey covers a number of themes such as:
Although the NESS is conducted each year, the sample size alternates with a larger sample enabling local information to be generated every other year. The most recent year for local level information is 2005.
The HLMR concentrates mainly on data surrounding vacancies and recruitment difficulties. However, a ful range of information is available from a number of national and regional reports. Links to these are available on this page.
