Official statistics on referrals and attachments to the Work Programme

Work Programme

  • Work Programme was launched nationally on the 1 June 2011 and replaced Flexible New Deal.
  • A new package of Pre-Work Programme Support measures were also introduced between October 2010 and June 2011, including Work Clubs, Work Together, New Enterprise Allowance, Mandatory Work Activity, Sector-based work academies and Skills Conditionality. These statistics can be found via this link

The release strategy for pre-Work Programme support (Get Britain Working measures and Mandatory Programmes) and the Work Programme has been updated. Details on when statistics will be released is available here:

Latest official statistics on referrals and attachments to the Work Programme:

  • The total number of referrals up to end of January 2012 is 565 thousand;
  • The total number of attachments up to the end of January 2012 is 519 thousand.
